This is an Additional and Alteration of a corner shophouse. The client who is a bachelor requested the second storey to house 3 numbers of studio apartment to allow for family members to live together while ensuring a sence of privacy. The first storey is tenented out to a bakery and cafe. For the rear extension, the elevation consists of recycled timber doors, windows and landscaping to give a distinct, yet tropical appeal.

The front of the shophouse was retained while the entire rear addition was desiged as a landmark for the neighbourhood

Recycled timber doors and windows were selected from Malaysia to elevate the "Shophouse-ness" of the project

The recycled windows act as a sun-light & privacy screen for the residential units behind

Every apartment unit is designed with view, sunlight & ventilation
